Data Import Wizard

The Data Import Wizard is invoked by selecting Import Data from the File menu or clicking on the Import tool button .

This wizard steps the user through selecting the import data format, the delimiter that separates columns in the data, whether to sample from the import file and if so what percentage of examples to sample, and whether to import holdout data.

For attribute-value data the user must select a names file when requested for an input file, and then is prompted to select a data file.

For identifier-item files the user is also prompted to specify whether the file is ordered by identifier and to select the columns in which the identifier and items are recorded
